Greg Deda

Biography

Greg Deda graduated as a theatre and costume designer in 1994. With a grant from the foundation of American billionaire Mr. George Sorros, Greg studied at the La Scuola delle Belli Arti Culturali in Italy where he was introduced to the art of fresco painted by the Great Maestros of the Renaissance.

In 1998, he studied at the Academy of Arts in Germany, where he met with many Post Berlin Wall Era artists, all developing their own art styles.

Since 2002 Greg is residing in Toronto; he is developing his abstract art inspired from Canadian nature and seasons, where he is in touch with fresh colours of spring and bold dynamic characteristics of autumn.

As a theatre designer he staged, with success, such masterpieces as the ballet Romeo and Juliet, comedies and dramas such as Pygmalion, The Glass Menagerie, The Last Apology of Socrates, The Lady from the City, and Lady Ingra of Rotstock. Greg is a member in good standing of the Associated Designers of Canada (ADC).

Greg’s works have been presented at various exhibitions and art shows around the world since 1995 including Albania, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Greece and Canada
